This course focuses on teaching participants how to calculate the radiation dose a person can receive from inhaling radon. The course covers the importance of measuring radon concentrations in the air, both with passive and active methods, according to the requirements of the current DIRECTIVE 2013/59/EURATOM regulation.
Researchers will learn the methods and techniques necessary to perform these measurements of radon in air in order to calculate the doses due to the inhalation of radon gas. This course provides a solid foundation for those interested in the evaluation and management of radiological risks associated with radon.
